Food Source International is a food blending company that develops custom seasonings and ingredients for retailers and food service clients. MidAtlantic scope included interior renovation of 12,500 SF of existing space for their new blending operation while maintaining building occupancy. The renovation work transformed an existing open warehouse into a new shipping and receiving department, cafeteria, toilet rooms, and (3) large blending rooms to house 2,000lb & 4,000lb capacity mixer-blenders. Each blending room was equipped with a high-speed door, elevated platform, and conveyor system. The concrete slab in these areas received a polished concrete finish. Existing utilities needed to be upgraded to support the large capacity blenders, while site utility improvements added a new sanitary separator tank to remain compliant with township code and improved loading dock access.
