Maximizing Limited Space

Initial Expansion Project: A new 47,000 SF, two story expansion to their existing high tech label printing facility. Due to limited land area, National Label elected to construct their new warehouse storage area directly above a new 20,000 SF cast-in-place concrete parking structure. Extensive structural work was required at the transfer slab above the garage area to support the warehouse and its high bay storage racking system. A new replacement chiller operates their entire printing mechanical loop which was installed as part of this expansion project. Since the existing facility manufactures labels 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, for 363 days per year, all work, especially utility connections and relocations, required significant coordination and scheduling with National Label’s operations. Second Expansion Project: 20,000 SF, two-story addition and partial renovation to the existing National Label manufacturing facility. Lower level was an expansion onto their existing manufacturing floor and added two additional truck loading docks. The 2nd level contained the new corporate executive offices and sales team areas. All construction had to be performed in a manner to allow the label manufacturing to continue without disruption. Completed Spring 2015.
