Park and Shop

Construction of a 4-story, 226,600 SF precast concrete, mixed use parking garage at Suburban Square in Ardmore, PA. The project was logistically challenging as it is in the heart of the densely populated operating shopping complex. Its proximity to adjacent structures required significant shoring and all project access was limited to Montgomery Avenue. The schedule and site plan had to allow for bordering streets, sidewalks, parking and buildings to remain fully open and accessible for the duration of the project. Construction of the underground garage level was made possible by shoring the adjacent properties with an engineered rod and shotcrete system that allowed the parking garage to directly abut existing sidewalks and buildings where the site conditions did not allow for over-dig or traditional concrete forms on both sides of the foundation walls. MidAtlantic provided all site logistics, utilities, underground storm water basins, crane roads, foundations, elevators, MEP and on-site management of the delivery staging and erection of over 1,000 pre-cast pieces.
