Renovation of the existing dealership and showroom to achieve new franchise design requirements.
Chapman Auto Group
James Necker Architects
Renovation and expansion of an existing Ford dealership to meet the latest franchise design standards. The project included a complete exterior re-skin of the facility, highlighted by the installation of Ford’s signature curved entry façade with ACM panel cladding. Work was carefully phased to ensure the dealership remained fully operational throughout construction, minimizing disruption to staff and customers while delivering a modern, brand-compliant showroom experience.
The existing Chapman Body Shop was transformed into a new Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) dealership through a comprehensive renovation and rebranding effort. The building’s exterior was completely re-skinned to meet CDJR’s current corporate design standards, including the installation of two signature ACM-clad branding arches. To enhance visibility and create a more welcoming showroom, the original exterior walls were removed and replaced with modern aluminum storefront systems along the dealership-facing elevations. Inside, a new steel mezzanine was constructed to house additional office space and support HVAC equipment. The interior received a full finish upgrade in accordance with CDJR’s branding guidelines, and all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were replaced or upgraded to meet current building codes. The result is a modern, code-compliant dealership that reflects the brand’s identity and supports efficient operations.
